Goodbye Nokia; Hello Google Nexus S, Samsung Galaxa S or HTC Desire HD

Yes, you saw that right. Apple is missing. I know; the things they make are gorgous. The appliances they bring us rock the world and the quality is generally good, but when something is really "hot" I kindda don't want to have it and feel part of the lucky masses for "having it too". Also the Blackberry is missing. I never really felt for those small keyboards and that big appliance in your hand. So with some disappointment in the heart I am going to say goodbye to Nokia.

So finally after 42 years in power even longsitter Muammar Gaddafi is facing his final days. The West has condemned, loved and done a lot of business with a man thougth to be responsible of the very long list of acts and crimes against humanity. Where other North-African revolts where going quit smooth, Gaddafi wanted nothing of this and just send in one of his most aggresive sons to battle the insurgants.

There are a thousand to many Belgium Chips Take-out shops

According to the National Alliance for Frituristen (NaVeFri) Belgium there are currently about 5,000 specialised French Fries shops in Belgium. That's a thousand too many, says the association. Don't mistake the Belgium French Fries with those you find at McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. Belgium "friet" is something else; cut out from fresh potatoes.

Why are western banks leaving Russia?

Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said that a perception of political risk leading up to the 2012 presidential election was causing capital to flee the country, a factor which battered the ruble in the second half of last year. Russia saw over $30 billion in capital outflows last year, more than four times the amount forecast by the central bank. In January 2011 the capital outflow reached a stagering $ 13 billion.

Sukhoi Superjet 100: Russian certified and stepping up sales

After finally getting the Russian certification, we now look forward to the commercial operation of this long-awaited Superjet 100 twin-engine jet. So far the first plane will be delivered to Armenian based Armavia with Aeroflot following soon. In January the Superjet organisation signed a deal with Mexico's low-cost carrier InterJet and Suhhoi has confirmed placing a bid on Delta Airlines RFP for 150 new narrow-bodies, although I believe that order will probably pass by.

Belgium Navy performing Queens "Don't stop me now"

I am not sure if this movie will hold for a long time, so I downloaded the complete movie just in case. The Belgium navy on board the frigate "Louise-Marie" who just spent 4 months on mission in the fight against piracy in the front of the Somalian Coast, put together a playback movie based on Queen's "Don't stop me now".

Some fuzz about Archpriest Vsevolod Tsjaplin's call for a new dress code for Russian women

If the Russian Orthodox Church could have it's way, Russian women would no longer use make-up and wrap themselves in subtle long skirts and high-necked sweaters on hot summer days, instead of the usual hot pants and wide hanging blouses, which reveal a lot of female flesh "on sale". That is the opinion of archpriest Vsevolod Tsjaplin, a high priest who wrote an open letter proposing a new nationwide, national dress code.
