The Waterboys in concert | The Hague, Netherlands

I think I can say I am a long time and huge fan of the Waterboys. Back in 1985, when I was in 5th grade I was introduced to the music of the Waterboys when the 3rd and most famous (general public) album was on the brick of being released. Now, some 25 years later I am pleased to see them once more together with my kids.

Overall I felt that we attended some kind of a jam session. I have never heard Mike do so much talking and making jokes. If I have understood correctly, we may soon expect a new compilation that will bear the name "Archives". And sometime in March 2011 we can expect a special CD, with only "Mike Scott accompanied by the piano" with songs taken from the Fisherman's Blues period.

The Waterboys | The very best tracks ever?

So I have been a Waterboys fan for over 25 years. I was introduced to the Waterboys by this blond 17-year old girl called "Masha" somewhere in 1985 around the time the 3rd album "This is the Sea" was released. Up to this day I can't figure out the top ten of best tracks ever written by Mike Scott.
